Well, as NotFloydzie said they're easy to take advantage of. In all honesty I believe that your friends were really looking for an easy score. Dumb women are short term but the smart ones are the people who are marriage material.

Stupid girls are only good for maybe one night stands.
But I'm looking for a long term relationship, a woman who is smart and intelligent.

I have friends who do. I personally don't. I need someone I can talk to about anything.

smart girls are always pain in the ass... they will always control you, teach u what is ryt or what is wr0ng and disagrees to ur decisions...

I'm not a guy, but my 24 year old son says he can't stand stupid women. He likes them smart, capable and no whining.

I don't expect her to be a brain surgeon, but if bugs are starting to die the moment she opens her mouth (I don't mean from the smell), I'm out.

I can't stand stupid women. I love it when they are girly, playful and cute, but I would still like to be able to have smart conversations with them (stupid =/= cute).

And now people use this question as an excuse to show everyone how deep they are for liking smart girls. Most guys prefer the smart ones, really.

I think they mean stupid as in the innocent "cute" way girls characters are in some movies.

Guys that have actually had such girlfriends would probably tell you that they don't ever want one like them again.

The kind of stupid girl that doesn't put a question mark at the end of her question? No.

there are two kinds of stupid-in my view, there is the adorable kind like a girl who might not know some facts and is naive, then there is the obnoxious kind who think they know better than you but in fact they are stupid and don't know it.

so ya I do like girls who are 'stupid' but in a cute way but are willing to learn new things and obviously I can't stand the boneheaded idiots.

Intelligent girls don't intimidate me, I've dated a few and I've respected them as equally as the 'dumb' ones. A smart woman would be better to marry because smart people learn faster and are more adaptable.

But generally speaking when I date girls I base it on looks, personality and how well we get along/attraction/chemistry. Intelligence is not a high priority on my list. I have enough brains for the both of us and I have well educated friends to have deep chats with.
