"I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it."
I also like these: "Shit happens", "Just do it" and "Keep moving forward and never look back".
Well, I came across a page on the internet saying "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", then I thought...Well, men have done far more evil things to ease their desire, such should make them have a line that describes that. And since the forces of heaven are responsible for the forces of hell being in hell, I thought heaven would be a much harder one of heaven and hell to conquer, so saying they have no resistance against their desire is kind of like saying a man can do greatness or pure evil that nobody can stop if their desire wants it.
That might not sound that well of an explanation, I have to go clean the barn, so I couldn't go in to more depth. Sorry.
When concerning life I live by this motto: "Try to have no expectations of life because the less you expect the happier you'll be in the end."
When concerning social situations I live by this motto: "Things are only awkward if you make them awkward."
When concerning love I live by this motto: "You are an amazing person who any girl would be lucky to have. Eventually, you'll find someone who will want to wait till the Earth ends with you."
The beauty of living is never knowing when your time is up and your dead. That's why you need to live in the moment and enjoy every waking day and all your loved ones. People commit suicide for various reason, it's called freedom of will and they chose their fate. Any one willing to kill themselves is weak and needs serious help. As for natural disasters...well I guess the secret to knowing why certain people got killed will never be known until we are dead and then hopefully all those secrets will be shared and answered. I believe in a higher power called God and we will find out soon enough:) Everyone has to die sooner or later, that's life.
Treat others the way you expect to be treated yourself.
If you do mess up (and you will; nobody is perfect), apologise and mean it.
Don't rely (or desire) things external to yourself. If you desire the attention of others, you put your happiness at their whim (their choice to give attention or not). If you release your needs or wants for things you can't control, the lack of these things (whether sudden or not) will never make you unhappy again.

Top one is paraphrasing the Bible. Bottom one is paraphrasing Buddha. Middle one is just common sense and respect for others.
Ive read a few good ones but I think mine is the best because its so important.
Motto: Actions SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS
Reason:I dont have much faith in what people say (overall) To many people say what they can or gonna do or talk like they words are gold.Wanting you to believe anything they say.But then you find out they words dont have no much to it. I just feel everyone that you know you need to know when they action speaks louder then they words. That way u can't be let down no matter how much you care for them or not.Or maybe...Prove dont show.
"Women suffer: to love means to being alone, and artists sometimes intuit in their work that when they love, they must transform."
It's not really a "motto. It's a excerpt from my favourite poet, Rainer Maria Rilke. The poem is "Requiem". It's something I relate to and aim to live by. When I read it, I was struck to the bone. It's deep and true. Beautiful nonetheless.
"Those who Dont Know history are doomed to repeat it"- George Santayana, 2."Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."- Jesus
3. “Just remember, you can do anything you set your mind to, but it takes action, perseverance, and facing your fears.”
Gillian Anderson
3 "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds."- Albert Einstein.(or as my dad so eloquently puts it, "The Masses are Asses":].)
4.:"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice."-Albert Einstein (yes, I looked this one up, I already felt this way, I just didnt know how to easily put it in writing:])[I guess "Question Everything" could have worked too.)
about the third quote,Its funny how many things we take for granted today were at one time or another ridiculed by the people of the time.
I try not to judge the choices people make in their lives, and I appreciate when others do the same for me.

"honesty is the best policy"
And
"theres a first time for everything"
And, of course, "Shit happens".

True story
*God doesn't give us anything we cannot handle. (My fav)
Of course, what doesn't kill me only makes me stronger ;)
For motivation:
*Believe with all of your heart that you will do what you were made to do.
Relationships:
*Love isn't just about hugs and kisses. It's about trust, compromises, sacrifices & the will for the relationship to last.
Then why do people commit suicide? (I myself often think about it btw).
And why do, for example, earthquakes happen? They kill people. Could those people handle it? Apparently not, they're dead.
I like the rest of your quotes though ;)

Nothing matters much and very little matters at all.
That's always in my head xD
also "Be true to, with, about yourself."
"Don't care what others say... Do your own fucking thing!"
and
"Don't live in the past or future but in the present and have fun!"
Courage is not the absence of fear.
There are no heroes, either both make it alive, or none do.
