Viewing from the initial intentions to understand the male, I generally begin by investigating his color. If this male's color rings in profoundly fast, I will take it that this man is mentally unwell, and thus should be handled carefully (to avoid any clinging on his part).
I tend not to notice those whose colors are nearly invisible at first. This is because, essentially, they appear indistinct to a crucial sense (the synaesthetic sense). That throws the whole system off. :/
