My ex used to call me "Osito", also "Osi" and "Cosi". I loved it. :(

In truth, as long as I like the girl whatever petname she has an affinity should be fine. I do find "baby" or "daddy" a bit odd though, and perhaps "honey" is the most natural to me. But overall, no difference.

"lover" is about the only common one I like. The ones in your list can often sound patronising, sickly or are only used for comic effect.

Anything apart from "babes". Serious. It's damn annoying! Maybe not "dear" either, it sounds sort of old fashioned.

I like getting any when i do, but i like using DAR-Ling, it just sound kind fun to say drawn out like that.

and at first i wasnt really thrilled on people changing my last name "Sugano" into "sugar" but no i enjoy when someone calls me sugar, or sugar bear. xD
