I think you should re-read my last comment since you've misread some of it.
"In future, if I make a comment saying something you already agree with, then there is no point to ask me questions about it if you are already comfortable with the opinion. I can understand if you dissagree with me, but there is no point in asking me questions on something you already agree on."
Sorry. I was under the impression that you like it when people test your beliefs and to have discussions which further your thoughts. If you just want to stick with what you know and don't want to learn alternative theories then I guess that's fine, I'm sorry I spent so much time trying to open your mind a bit. What is the point of a discussion with you?! Most of the time it feels like a competition, and it shouldn't. I'll hand it to you that you've been nothing but polite and considerate here, and I respect that. But again, why do you even have discussions wit people? To boost your ego and to prove your right? If so then that's a shame.
No worries, you just misunderstood that part of me. You never opened my mind, most of what you said I have already been through in my head countless times, some not, which is why I didn't like the idea of you making this go on further when there was no need for it. It's the reason I am the way I am now on this subject.
There isn't a point in having a discussion with me if we already know we agree with eachother. What could come out of this? That we agree with eachother more?...Kind of a stupid thing to achieve when we both already fully agree that a man should have the right to hit a woman as hard as he wants if she done the same to him.
It's not a competition, I just see no point in talking about something we already agree with. Unless you haven't realized, I mostly always reply to you and everyone. The only times I don't really reply to people is if things are just stuck on repeat or if their comment is something like "I agree with you", because they already agree with me, what is the point of continuing the discssion? Same goes for me, if I say "Agreed", I'm not going to expect a reply, and I sure as hell don't expect our agreement to turn into a huge discussion.
I give attention to things that have opposing sides, because there is something to gain from it, I could be proven wrong, or I could prove someone else wrong. What changes by dragging out something that we already agree with?
Not going to lie, if you had said at the begining that you agree with me, that would of been the end of it, I wouldn't see much point in replying, just like I wouldn't of if it was anyone else because we already have agreed.
I only like being in discussions were there is my opinion and another opinion, because there is a chance of changing someone's opinion, be it someone else's or my own.
Well, I think anyone's reason for being in a discussion would be to prove they're right, isn't that what the whole point of a discussion is about? Using points against eachother to prove your opinion is the right one, and depending on who has the better points you agree with, depends on if you agree or not?
I'm sure somewhere here I even said that most of what you said in one of the replies is completely right...That was me saying your points were better on parts of the subject.
I'm the type of person to focus on the bad rather than the good, because the good is already a positive side that doesn't need fixed, the bad is still in need of being put right, if that makes sense.
It makes complete sense, the bad things are usually only bad because somebody hasn't made them good.
And it's clear that there are several things our opinion differed on, otherwise we wouldn't have had such a long discussion. However, to me discussions have always been opportunities to progress and learn new things. Yes we agree on some things, but I like asking why they think that and how they view other aspects of the argument. Although the belief may be the same, the justification for it is almost always different, just like here. We can't know everything, but I like to learn as much as I can and part of that is questioning why I and others believe what they believe.

Off topic, look at this. It's a good song for a good show.
