They advertise that because antidepressants bring you up, and often when a severly depressed person is brought back up, instead of feeling good they will take the new energy as energy to commit suicide. That is why the commercials warn about it. When i was on celexa, I almost killed myself because I felt that I now had the ability to. I switched to Paxil a few months later and it made a huge difference, partly because I knew what to expect this time and partly because it is a stronger antidepresssant than celexa and mixed better with the chemicals in my brain. They aren't right for everybody, I've seen some people get really effed up from them, and getting off of them sucks (i.e. bad withdrals), but they can really help.
