For three years, I couldn't hang a single roll of toilet paper. My idiot cat would unravel the entire roll onto the floor and frolic in it until I caught him. Now he's too lazy to care, so I hang it with the paper cascading forward.
And I put up a sign for my roommate: "Changing the toilet paper roll will not give you brain damage."
I've always put it up hanging from the front but lately I like putting it hanging from the back. It use to bother me but now it's not that big of a deal.
I accidentally voted the wrong one! Stupid phone. My grandmother absolutely loathes paper at the front, so in our house the paper comes down at the back just to please her haha.
I don't use a tp holder, it broke a long time ago. I just rest it on the radiator or sometimes the sink, preferably the radiator. It can be upright or laying on its side and it won't roll anywhere.

I rarely put it on the dispenser before it's gone, but i'm not anal enough to do it the same way every time.
