I am actually pretty irritated by how the IIN community has this whole hippy, illogical thing going on, the "Everyone is equal, all groups are the same and are not likely to do something more than the others" speech.
No matter what group of people, no matter what culture, everyone is saying "we're all the same, we are all capable of the same things", when we simply aren't. Some are smart, some are dumb, some are driven, and some are lazy. One would have to be the whole gender issue. It is fact that we think differently that eachother (genders), yet somehow we all are equal and are able to do the same things exactly the same? No. It's fact our minds are different, so obviously there will be some differences in our capability when it comes to mental parts of life.
I am find it completely illogical to say that everybody is able to do the same as eachother, it's just so hippyish.
We're not all the same, a lot of people are natrually better at things than others, and some groups of people are better than the other group.
What do you think?

Should I get the respect of a well-trained doctor that has saved lives simply because we are of the same species?
I think they mean (and I know I do) that not one group is 100% lazy, dumb or whatever.
I could be wrong btw, but the "pretty irritated" tripped my ItDuz Alarm.
To be serious, I do have a lot of errors in my grammar but I do try to improve by myself, and I'm glad that it seems to be getting better.
Therefore, I don't like to say that one group is better than another, especially if it contains a huge amount of people. Firstly, it's virtually impossible to measure something as big as determining which gender is better, or who has contributed more to society.
Basically using labels as an indication for who is the best is wrong. Yes, males may be suited to a certain profession more than females. But as a female, does that mean I don't get a right to enter that profession and get the same treatment? It shouldn't, especially since I may be better for the job than any guy out there.
Or looking at quantum mechanics and the theory of the universe as a fractal, in a way we are all small parts of a greater universal body, a part of the whole, and in that way we are very much the same.
What I take from all this is that your fellow man are your brethren, that we are all different, all have our own abilities and weaknesses, but when you look at the big picture we all came from a single cell in a sea of primordial ooze. Definitely makes me feel more connected to others. :P
There are some men that I am smarter than and that are smarter than me.
There are some men that I could knock the fuck out in one hit and some men that would laugh at that hit and have me down in an instant.
I am not the best writer, but I am better than some and worse than others.
I suck at Math and statistically 70% of the population my age is better at it then me. True story.
However, my reading comprehension and communication skills are in the 99th percentile.
But just because *you* judge my gender and my own personal character as lacking the ability to contribute to society more than you because I have a vagina and you have a penis and somehow having a penis is the reason that men have done more for society thus reducing them to the sum of their parts, doesn't mean that your judgement is correct as you, sir, are not an omnipotent being capable of making such judgement calls, and DOESN'T mean that I don't deserve the same respect that would be given to anyone that is favorable to you.
No, we're not all equal, we're all weak in some way, even men. But that doesn't mean that we don't all deserve the same respect as one would give someone that they deem "deserving". If everyone just respected each other equally rather than following the doctrine that "I will only respect those worthy", then I can almost guarantee you that the world would be a far better place than it is today.
