The media just seems completely racist to me. It's sickening. There are so many things but I'm going to focus on just two.
Hollywood hates interracial couples. Will Smith, the actor that proved a black man could make a block buster, falls under this. The two movies that do show Smith in relationship with a white woman, he produced himself. Is that really what it takes? The audience loves his movies. The audience has no problem with the main character being black or an interracial couple. But Hollywood thinks the audience hates this stuff so it doesn't want to show it.
Whitewashing. This is a common one and it seems like the only company that's ever reverse-whitewashed is Marvel. I'll just focus on one movie, The Hunger Games. The movie so progressive proving that men would watch a movie with a female lead, as long as she's white. The Hunger Games had a low budget so the directors didn't merely pick a starlet, there were auditions for the main character Katniss. A character described in the book to have straight dark hair and olive skin. When the auditions were advertised the studio wrote that they were only looking for Caucasian actresses. This goes beyond simply picking the white actress over the olive one. They might as well have written "Colored need not apply"
Part of the reason why this pisses me off so much is because the people of the entertainment industry always call themselves liberal and progressive. They paint themselves as these wonderful understanding guys. They're not bible thumpers or trailer trash they're the good ones. It's not true at all. They're just a bunch of racists with too much power.

I'll guarantee there's a percentage of people who would avoid a film on such stupid grounds. The need to make money is incompatible with fairness, quality, or virtually anything that isn't about money-making. It's why we have bad films and bad food and bad music.
1, Do you believe that of the billion people who may see a film, every single one of them is entirely tolerant? Bear in mind the chances of winning the lottery are 14 million to one, and you're looking at something 70 times more unlikely than this (if it was a random thing).
2, Given that some of a film's audience might not be entirely tolerant do you think every single of them might say, "I hate interracial relationships but I'm not going to let that affect my choices in any way and I'll enjoy entertainment with interracial relationships as much as anything else even though I hate them".
If the answer to the above questions is "No", and let's face it, it has to be, and if even one person swerves a film, revenue has been reduced.
George Lucas himself stated that he had to fight for Hollywood to allow him to make a movie to cast an all black cast. He said that all black movies don't do very well here, let alone internationally.
Even if only 1% of people a film is targeted at would avoid the film if it had something they found objectionable, that could be a revenue loss of many thousands, even millions, of dollars. In reality, the number is probably much higher than 1%. Hollywood has to mirror its audience if it wants to maximize revenue.
It's also called Racebending.
I guess you should say that the Westboro Baptist Church is tolerant too.
Also that Canadians do not dominate hockey and blacks don't dominate basketball. Those are just identity group stereotypes which peg you as ignorant if you put any credence in them.
Now I have to go have a word with my English cook and my German nanny.
Well, it's bangers and mash for the fourth time this week, and the kids better like it or the nanny will lock them in the cellar again.
Hollywood is not racist.
They are just playing it safe.
If Hollywood was racist, Will Smith would not have even been able to be in huge blockbuster hits.
I bet next you're gonna say that Hollywood is racist because Viola Davis didn't win her Oscar for Best Actress this year.
