Maybe you need to do a combination. Do something that brings in the income (plastic surgeon) and then do your passion on the side (writing). Or you could do part time for each. If you just dropped everything you worked for and became a writer, you're not guaranteed financial security which is something we all know is important. Good luck with whatever you decide! :)
