Seeing that you still go to school I will advise you to stop thinking about what they actually think of you. I think it is pointless to have people who ignore you in real life on facebook. The fact that they tell you that you are pretty might not be true, and the fact that they whisper bad things about you is a pretty good indicator of what they think of you.
Don't get me wrong. Surely, they might honestly say that you are pretty, but you won't know for sure unless they tell you that in person. These days I see that some people are throwing around words such as pretty around. However, they might find it easier to let you know that you are pretty since they don't interact with you personally; and whisper bad things about you because - let's be honest, there is always someone who gets treated like that in school.
Trust me, they probably say bad things about one another when they are not all together.
I know that I went off of the topic a little bit, but to honestly answer your question I will ask you some. Do YOU think that you are pretty/beautiful?
The only way you will know the true answer to the question which you wrote above is how you are feeling about yourself right now. If you see yourself as pretty, then that is your answer.
And, stop caring about what they say. I went through high school feeling horrible because everyday passed in myself feeling 'confused' as you put it. It is pointless, and won't get you anywhere good. Feel pretty because you are not because some kids from school say it. Sure, when people compliment us, our confidence betters. But don't let other people's comments and compliments judge how you feel.
