Well it's not like a race that would suddenly die out or anything. I know they still exist, I just have not heard anyone refer to themselves as a "goth" since the '90s. Goth has become a sort of a derogatory term.
I haven't heard anyone refer to themselves as a goth since I graduated high school.
And outside of that I haven't heard the term "goth" be taken seriously since the '90s. Interesting.
