Should I approach this girl I see everyday?

There's this woman I always see on the way to work. We catch the same trains there and back and sometimes I see her inbetween that. So several times a day and I've never spoken to her. It feels really awkward when it's just me walking down a street alone and I look behind me and she's walking in the same direction only a few feet behind me. Our eyes have met on many occasions, usually cause I see movement from the corner of my eye and I instinctively turn and it's her. I always look away really quickly and so does she, I'm horrible with eye contact. But anyway, I know she recognises me for being around alot too.
I think she looks like a really nice person. I want to befriend her! I'm not saying I want to chat her up, I literally, in all seriousness, want to befriend her! She just looks like such a nice person!
This has been going on for months by the way! Never saying a word but always seeing each other! Only thing is... I'm shy as hell, don't have many friends cause I'm really quiet and bad at holding conversation. WHAT DO I DO???

Something along the lines of "I can't help but notice we're always on the same commute - where do you work?"

The rest is up to you to conduct a natural conversation.

Looks can be deceiving, but say "hello" anyway.

i like the option of "hi i see you all the time....introduce myself" dont wait for her to make the first move, i bet she likes it

Introduce yourself, but don't be pushy. If she doesn't seem interested, back off.

If speaking to her is too much, just give her a teeny smile and/or wave.

you need to be more confident i approach girls the first time i see them

Well you don't really know her or any of your friends, so why not? Nothing really to lose right?

I had the same chance back in the 1970's,but did'nt go through with it like you so I don't know.If you're a true gambler I'd say go for it.But if it does'nt go well and things get fucked up,get prepared to find a different way of transportation to and from work and just plain avoid her.
