I can't find a mechanical pencil that suits my needs, I use a wooden #2 all the time. Even when I do my art I will use a #2 pencil. Very rare I will use a mechanical pencil. Somehow my sisters love them. :\ For me, it has something to do with the weight of them I think, they're too light. They may not be but they sure feel like they are.
I have the exact same effect but with wooden pencils. They feel incredibly light and I can never get a good grip on them. I guarantee you that if I use a wooden pencil my hand will hurt for the rest of the day just cause I could never get a good grip.
What makes it even weirder for me is that the brand has to be generic or store brand. The lead is to soft in the others, and they wear out to fast. What is the brand name of your mechanical pencil?
