I heard it was hacked and damaged so badly that they have to start from scratch to fix the network.. I'm not sure if that's true or not but that's what I have heard a few times..

Sony has already addressed this problem. A LOT. So, just hold on, it's coming back. Oh, and get a new credit card. Your info was probably stolen.

PSN was probablly hacked and they said on their blog that they're investigating it.

This is one of the few times I'm glad I have an Xbox360 instead.

Anyways I heard it got hacked so they're probably trying to figure out a way to make it more secure before they bring it back up. It would suck if it got raped again as soon as it was online.

I don't get why you're asking us, rather than Sony. If my dishwasher is broken (which it is), I wouldn't ask you what happened.

psn being hacked is just a prelude of whats to come... next up, global economic chaos.

basicly i am i ps3 owner and user and have never owned a xbox 360 and never will but i still voted for xbox 360 for the win because sony take the fucking piss they were hacked and didnt manage to sort it for like a month and also they dont care about there users atall they do maitenece at peak times and they dont give two shits because we dont have to pay for our online therefore it doesnt matter to them because there not losing money selfish pricks tbh i use my ps3 daily and i still think microsoft shit all over sony but ps3's are what i like and tbh i hope it was a ex or current employee of microsoft that hacked sony and stole there money lol cuz microsoft know how to do it because they use hackers to test there server and see how safe it is they could of blatenly told one of them to hack sony :P and lol if you used a credit card on the sony server wounded for you

i'm not having issues. and i havent since it came back on. people from xbox live made fun of ps3 users about getting hacked then like 2 weeks after sony was up then XBOX got hacked!!! LOL so much for paying that $60 fee every year when u're still able to be penetrated. kids play xbox. the adults play ps3 /
