I'd say the best age to have a baby is whenever you feel ready to, although preferably it should be below the age of 40 so you don't face the increased chance of miscarriages etc.

why is there no 20-25 choice?

because most people dont even know WHO they are at that tender age. they havent established themselves in the workforce yet or may still be in school, and they have very little adult experience to pass on to their children.

people need to live alone for a while to get an idea who they are. getting married straight out of high school works for some but most people regret it after about 20 years.

it is true that younger women typically have an easier time if they start bearing children at a younger age but 25 is young enough.

but i would suggest giving yourself a year at least of living single before you even start thing of husbands and a few years after marriage to live as a couple before you have children

Good reply, well thought out, and i agree with you.

I personally believe that what is most important is making sure you are emotionally and financially stable to bring in a child.

So your saying 8-11? Ewww...

I want to have kids young, but that's just my personal preference-everyone is different :)

Could've given more options!?

I'm not going to vote because there is not a 20-25 category. Just because some people can't handle it and it's not right for them at that age, doesn't mean it's the same for everyone else in the world.

I'd say, when you have achieved everything else in your life you want to achieve. Then when you feel your life is over, have a baby. That will confirm you were right! Your life is now well and truly over, as you become a slave to the little bundle of joy, that spends all your money and grows up into an ungrateful teenager!

Listen the correct time to have a baby does not matter at age but in life.If you have a good husband with a good job and he brings in alot of money that is the good time.If you have a bad husband that drinks, has a horrible job,and he struggle's to provide for his family that is not the correct time.

I personally am not having children until I am emotionally and financially ready. Which will probably be when I am 25+
Comment Hidden (show)
There is no set age to have children but it should be required not only to be married but also to be financially capable of having children.
Comment Hidden (show)
In today's world? 28+.
Comment Hidden (show)
i would say 28+ because i think 20-27 you need those years to establish a good career, find someone, maybe get married. only when you have steady money and preferably alimony, should you have a kid.

I'd say when you're ready. You just know guess. Some people may want to be under 25, if they're in a stable relationship and financially secure then go for it.

I'd love to be under 25 when I have children, they don't mean that your life is over. It just means that you've started a new one.

20, u are phisicly matured. 25, phisicly and psychologically matured.

I want to say 30-40 but based on my family it might not show to be the greatest idea. However after 40 a lot of women are too old to have kids.

How about no set age but a set income before having children. That makes more sense to me. At least in industrialized countries anyway.

what on earth are you talking about?!?

Think about it. Should a society be obligated to help someone who decided to have children while knowingly being aware of the consumption of finances it causes? I think not. (Note: critical thinking may be required to understand this.)
