I think its funny that some people dont seem to mind if a president (Bush#2) spends an exorbitent amount of money financing a war that creates financial opportunity for the same people who dont mind how much it costs. But if a president like Obama spends far less on something focused on cleaning up after the war profiteers and oil mongers, like actually trying to help people in need, these people who didnt have a thing to say about government spending suddenly decide that everything thats wrong with the country, economy, and 'Out of control' spending must be the fault of our Democratic leader. Wouldnt have anything to do with the money we pissed away financing a war with no true basis.
The worst is always the last or the next, which ever way you want to look at it.
Think about it, ever since the 1st President, each and every President after promise was to fix what the last President did. So we get another after Obama who will promise to make things better just like Obama promised to make things better after Bush just like Bush promised to make things better after Clinton and so on and so on and so on and so on.
The worst in management was Harding for his corruption and scandals.
Next is Reagan for disassociating the concept of spending and taxes.
Then W for the lasting impact of an unnecessary, un-financed war and a shared responsibility for the housing crisis (along with Alan Greenspan, Franklin Raines and Leland Brendsel.)
Who are you classing as the first president here? Washington or Hanson? Either way, the only president to have a lower IQ than George Bush was George W. Bush. Not that this makes him a bad president. Republican presidents are always puppets controlled by the people who truly run the country while Democrats tend to be their own men. In short, Republicans have to be dim so they can be controlled and Democrats have to be smart so that they can't.
I'm not an American so this viewpoint is very much from the outside. The rest of the world genuinely like your Democratic presidents and we facepalm your Republican ones. It seems clear to us that you veer between strong, enlightened, intelligent people and utter cretins who'll do what they are told, no matter how ridiculous it may be.
Your Democratic presidents are impressive people and you should be especially proud of them. America has a bad press around the world. That you vote in the likes of Kennedy, Clinton and Obama makes us think you've got it right, though. But then you vote in Reagan, Bush and Bush who happily sit by while wars foment.
Don't listen to what the papers say, or the TV, or your friend. Think about the reality.
Any president is at the mercy of the problems created by the president before him. Trickle down effect. I see everyone votes down the Obama haters- maybe you get welfare and foodstamps and depend on the "free" handouts he offers. Printing worthless money makes our dollar worth less, and raises inflation. Stimulus, my ass. Our government will collapse if this crap keeps up. I feel really sorry for the next president. ****THINK, VOTE LIBERTARIAN**** Small government is the answer.
From photos Mr Nixon looked a sad case. He looked like a loser of some sort. Cant imaginie him running the country. (Cant be bothered reading history)0
Terrible poll! Notable Presidents who were left out:
James Buchanan: Did nothing when the southern states were seceding.
Andrew Johnson: Was the wrong person at the wrong place and wrong time to be President, but never was anything more than a running mate for Lincoln.
Herbert Hoover: Can't be blamed for the Great Depression, just his incompetent handling of American affairs during his time.
Richard Nixon: Terrible handling of the Vietnam War (withdrew troops from Vietnam while expanding the war to Cambodia and Laos), but the Watergate Scandal (and later Saturday Night Massacare) were some of the biggest blunders of American 20'th. Century politics.
I'm starting to think Obama. He wants to take away our nukes, and everytime someone tries to attack us (Times Square) he makes it seem like we deserve it for "not accepting" people from other courtier. I have nothing against him, he's probably a cook guy. I just don't think he's the best president..
Forget lying to the American public and the WORLD, and starting a useless war... obviously the man we should all be terrified of is the one who wants to take away the nukes and provide health care for the poor. Health care, for the poor! He's obviously the AntiChrist, and he doesn't even have a proper American name!
there was that sucky road program he paid for here to "improve roads" Every road south of town still sucks. It's not even a road anymore, just broken road, dirt, and clumps of pavement. National debt skyrocketed. Obama admin.
The shambles that our country has been left after W left office reminds me of how in the movie 'Lion King' how after Scar was king how the lands were barren and desolate after he had become king when he didn't deserve it. Gore SHOULD have been president in 2000 because he had that the popular vote! Unfortunately W had too many people pulling strings for him behind the scenes, and I'm disgusted by the whole thing.
His foreign policies and his lack of knowledge of the economic situation is the root of our problems we still experience.
