I have a disability, but that doesn't make me different than anybody else. I would just feel like a nice human being giving my seat to someone that can't stand on a bus.
there are more factors than are listed here, including attitude...i would normally give my seat to anyone since i have no problem at all standing but if they have a pissy attitude with me or they act like they are entitled i won't
Honestly I would not give my seat to anyone. I walk everywhere so I can't give a seat I don't have, but if I'm on the bus it's to not be standing or walking around so I wouldn't give my seat unless the person really needed it. If you're already standing you're capable to stay standing. But because of this attitude I don't take the bus.
Anyone. I once gave it to a lady with a chest tattoo who had a black dress 4 times smaller than her and purple rain boots. She smelled like cigarettes, shame, and wet basement.
I give my seats to the elderly, mainly. Maybe a pregnant woman, although I don't see the logic in having children and not owning a vehicle in a town like this...
And maybe the cookie monster was the rapist. I still don't see the logic in having kids and not owning a vehicle. And if she is a single Mom, there is greater need for the vehicle.
And maybe Tom Cruise is going to fall from the sky and take me out for cokes.
Once again. I still don't see the logic in having kids and not having a car in a town like this.
(Nor do I see the logic in having kids without even the financial standing to afford a car. How is one to afford a baby and not a car? By your argument, she can't afford a baby, thus decreasing the logic of the situation).
I'll be waiting for you, Tom Cruise. You owe me a coke.
And what if the Illuminati are stealing my cable? I don't even have cable!
I still don't see the logic in having children and not owning a vehicle in this town. If she can't afford a car then I can't fathom how she will be able to provide for a child. Kids are human beings, not just mistakes to be made. I don't see the logic in having kids without a means to provide for them either.
I have to agree with NeuroNeptunian on this one. Regardless of why the child is being born, having children without means of transportation is a huge disadvantage. If she needs to get out of the city quickly (for example, if there's a natural disaster of some sort) I seriously doubt the public transportation system with be up and running. She wouldn't be able to care for/protect her family. It's just not a responsible choice to make.
I suppose... but I'm assuming that you were born some time either in the eighties or the nineties, or the sixties or seventies at earliest. The world is getting progressively smaller, so to speak. People are needing cars more and more.
Whoever looks like they want one. If I'm standing and a seat opens up, I'll ask the person next to me if they want it. But they rarely take it. And I am happy to say that I don't need the bus as much as I use to.
it's not fair! Why can't I give my seat to pregos, cripples AND elderly? meh. Anyway, the rest can take a hike. if you're not pregnant, cripple or really old -forget it.
Back in the day in soviet union, if a teen is sitting in the bus and an elderly lady standing, and he doesn't give her his seat, he would've been picked up by the ears. Its a shame that today people don't have much respect for the elders.
To people saying they'd give it up to disabled people: how do you know who's disabled? I have a disability that makes standing on buses difficult sometimes, but you'd have no way of knowing just by looking at me.
Thats pregnants, elderly, invalids, people with broken limbs, ...

If I did, I would give it to anyone who needs it more than me. Or I would give it to anyone and everyone just because I am kind like that. :P
