I think people are tired of this. We've all expressed our thoughts on the matter, and in the end nobody convinces anyone else of anything and everybody ends up angry. I've learned to just refrain from commenting because I'm not interested in getting wrapped up in it, but there's hardly any need for a constant stream of stories and comments like this one.
The story isn't even proposing a balanced grounds for debate - it's just your thoughts followed by "what do you think". Even the title isn't something reasonable like "is there an imbalance of respect between genders", it's "WHY is it that <insert opinion here>". It's a loaded question. And we all know that you won't end up conceding any of our points, and we won't concede yours.
I'm not trying to attack you. But the way that you type (and the frequency with which you post it) doesn't make people want to debate rationally with you.
