If my small city of Pooploops (named after the stinky pulp-mill smoke stack west of town), had something like that, I would go. We already have a wildlife park that is quite popular year-round. There's also a 'local' (about 20Km out of town) that takes in rescued animals and they open themselves up to the public during the summer months. They've been on the news too (my local news loves reporting on the nice stuff) and that's helped draw in more people to their haven.
People love that sort of thing where I'm from, especially if it has a local feel. And just like many wineries around here have tours, so do many organic farms (which have animals). People are so proud of nature in my community, it's one of the reasons I love living here, in Pooploops. ;)
