k. look its not good to self harm if i was you id advise your friend to get some help and if she dont i would tell the consular. she may hate you for this but ur showin what a great friend you are. tell hur if she ever committed suicide you wouldnt be the same. ive gone through the same thing and when i told that person i would be lost w/out them he/she did feel bad bout the whole thing and got some help. your friend will soon realize how bad she/he put their self in danger and also others.
most people do that cause they feel like they dont belong on the face of the earth. you jus need to convince ur friend that people do care bout them.
i use to do mild self harm on myself like pinching, or picking at cuts i still do it at times out of habit but if it would ever get extreme i'd get help or would hope that friend would get help for me XD listen to cutiepie :D
Oh gawd yeah!
Your not the first "straight" girls to mess around but just be friends the rest of the time.
In fact it makes you trust each other more since you have this secret between each other.
It may just be a phase or it can go on for a long time.
Just one thing, you can get too much of a good thing.
If you want to just be friends the rest of the time and have boyfriends, set boundaries you both are comfortable with.
Sorry, I was answering another question and didn't realize it skipped to yours.
But I'll answer, It IS normal to self harm, meaning lots of people do it.
It's a cry for help.
But it is a psychological problem that needs professional attention ASAP.
