They may be comfortable making big sacrifices early on but more often build resentment over time.

I've viewed stories of American men taking a bride from the former Soviet Union satellite states and upon arriving in the States their relationships deteriorate. The girls become very lonely, homesick and ultimately return to their home country "AFTER" they get their USA citizenship.
