I say "aye" instead of "yes" because I feel it better reflects my personality. I do say "no" instead of "nay". Is it normal to use certain outdated terms just because you think they better match who you are?
Yes yes yes! 'Tis a very good example some other commenters gave. I use that one a lot. If only you could get away with wearing what you like, style wise, so easily!
I really dislike all these rediculous social things. I mean, if you wear something different, you're criticized. If you say something out of the ordinary, you're looked at funny and treated differently, etc. But, really, if it's what you like, you should wear it. If it's something like to say, then say it. As long as you're not hurting anyone, why should it matter?
I think it's cool that the author of the question expresses themselves in the way that they want to. So, yeah, it's normal. And I agree with them.
It's common where I come from (North east england) to say Aye instead of Yes but unfortunately regional accents are looked down upon. I think you just have to be comfortable with yourself.

...My two cents.
