i live in memphis Tn.. (one of the top most dangerous cities in America) and to be honest.. it really isn't bad.. i've been in fights, i've been robbed, my friends have been robbed at gun point, i've seen people get car jacked, i've witnessed people stealing, etc. (almost 200 deaths this year so far..) But really.. after all this time being around it and used to it, maybe that's why other people see it so shocking.. they're not used to it..

marines and soldiers are just doing their jobs. they don't get a choice whether or not they want to go to iraq or anywhere else. and no one bother throwing the arguement "then they shouldn't have joined" because many people use the military as a means to pay for college, or get work/leadership experience, or even just "to see the world". i garauntee you that anyone who speaks out against the united states military has never served. if they had they would realize what an accomplishment it really is. you call them murderers? killers? in some cases yes... but that is purely on an individual basis. the military is a necessary part of world society and has been for centuries. whether one dumb stoner disagrees with that or not will never matter. the miltary is our country's police force, our riot control, our humanitarians, and our protectors. without them we'd all be brittish (no offense). so next time anyone feels like knocking the military... do yourself the favor of thinking before you speak.
