And things work so well today dont they wallop. Discipline is not always the best thing but respect has to be learned kids have to learn that every action has consequences and without some form of punishment that is not happening. The soft approach has been tried and it clearly doesnt work time to go back to the old style
seriously, i think the worst mistake they made was taking it out of circulation just because of a few whinging parents. I copped it a few times which put me in my place and i never re-affened because i was to shit scared. All this frog shit regarding non smack policy is crap and you can all go and get fucked some of ya's.
You know, I love when people discuss this. I think about my mother who now has permanent tendonitis in her wrist and swollen joints in her fingers because of the cane. It was taken out of the hands of teachers with good reason.
Too many abused it's use and with the recent downturn in society I'm sure teachers in this day and age would do much the same, if only out of frustration.
It's one thing for a child to strike someone their own age but an adult striking a child, no matter the reasoning, is a cowardly act.
I remember, also, my elder brother once relating a tale of a teacher of his getting so frustrated as the throw a desk across the classroom (I actually had this "man" myself and can attest to the fact that he is a very large, intimidating person with a foul temper).
Are these really the kinds of people we should be giving such implements to?
public schools teachers punish in other ways like failing you so you end up working at mcdonalds. its not the schools place would you like it if you were beat at work for not obaying makes things a little different doesnt it.
LOL @ DISCUSSION ON ISITNORMAL. THE CANE NO? I AM DOUBTING THAT DOES ANYTHING BUT REPRESS ANGER WHICH EVENTUALLY LEADS TO DOMESTIC DISPUTES. BIT OF A LEAP BUT I DON'T CARE. NN NEXT.
