Licking Books

whenever i get a new book i always like to lick the sides of the pages when the book is closed. it tastes really good. is this normal?

The taste comes from "Spaniard Urine". I like it too. People who make paper often pee in it for some reason.

I have a friend who keeps his books in the fridge then likes to sniff the pages. I thought he was mad! but then I smelt that seductive woody scent and the crisp feel of the page.Never tried licking it tho.Are you sure you're not building up an addiction to ink?

I have a similar fascination with wood things. It's not...popular per se [that I know of], but there's nothing wrong with it.
