Is It Normal?
What do you think?
insomnia
I've had really bad sleeping problems for as long as I can remember. It ussually takes me about three hours to get to sleep, and then I'll wake up a couple of times in the night for no reason. Because of this I find it really difficult to get up in the morning and often sleep through my alarm clock; I also get terrible migranes and back aches because of it.

The trouble is that no one believes me, and most people just think I'm really lazy, when in fact I'm really tired. Surely this isn't normal?

I have this from time to time. It's normally just when I have too much going round in my head, going over the smallest things over and over again.

Try drinking two or three bottles of red wine before you go to bed. I guarantee that you will have a sound nights sleep. However you will probably still sleep through your alarm and your migraines will get worse and you possibly may wake up in a pool of your own vomit/piss.
.avoid the wine-alcohol can actually lead to worse insomnia over the long run.id avoid eating late and all caffeine and suger after 2 or 3 pm to see if that helps.and get up early then you will be tired when bedtime arrives.get a sleep study done if all elese fails.

thats sucks. i , too, have insomnia. i , sometimes, take ambien. but lately i have been taking xanax or ativan. with thera-flu. knocks my a** OUT!!
You might have what is called sleep apatneia. If you ever stop breathing when your sleeping this is probably what you got, most hospitals now have a sleep center where you can go and see if you have this condition, you stay overnight they hook a bunch of monitors on you and monitor your sleep,if you are diagnosed with this problem they can help.
i think you need to ask your dr. too. it may be sleep apnea. or you may just have insomnia. if you get prescribed a drug, i wouldnt get lunesta. it leaves teh grossest taste in your mouth. kind of like hairspray or something. everything you eat or drink will taste like that. i tried it, my mom and my friends. we all said the same thing.
