Do what pleases you at this point. If you have parents who are decent listeners you may want to speak to them in private, not when you are angry or when they make insulting comments but rather at a time when all of you are calm and let them know their comments bother you. They likely do not realize how much their comments irritate you. Some people are simply insensitive and do not know how offensive they may come across to others.

When you get older and are looking for a possible long term/permanent relationship, you may want to look at who is responsible, respectable and committed rather than focusing on race. Race to me means nothing other than respecting differences.

Looks are the first thing we see in a person but often lead us down the wrong road that eventually brings about pain and misery. If you don't understand my point now, you will in time. Just want to offer another perspective.

My pleasure to help out whenever I can. If your parents do not approve you have to abide by their wishes and do as they say. The parent/child relationship is not of equal power, it is one of control, and hopefully support and protection for the child. Your parents have the power, not you. The only circumstance otherwise is if they are abusive.

Parents are not perfect, it comes down to respecting them and getting along with them, and doing what they want while a minor. When you are of legal age to do as you wish then it the time will come where your parents will have little or for the most part, no say as to what you do. That time will come but until then, just stick it out.

Ultimately you will decide your life, not relatives or others, but as a minor (which I assume you are) you do not have equal rights. In some ways you are more protected while a minor (under age 18) yet in other ways you are limited in terms of power if you are not yet an adult.

Sorry things seem unfair but overall life is unfair and people are not treated equally. Dealing with it and working your way around it is how we all cope, the young, the middle-aged and the old.
