It is neither normal nor abnormal for a 14 year-old girl to be having sex. Generations ago, it was very common for girls this young to be having sex but in today's society it is unwise.

First, no contraception is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. Sex also causes bonding and can create an illusion of closeness and commitment that really does not exist and tends to implode over time.

There is a saying, "what goes up must come down". Having sex at too young an age will more often cause one partner sadness, depression and emotional pain when the relationship comes to an end. And, the relationships virtually all come to an abrupt end for one of a mulititude of reasons when they form at too young age.

As to why you are having sex, it could be you are seeking a replacement for a missing father figure or a father figure who is not providing a strong role/part in your life. Sex may be an outlet to fill a void in your life. I do not know, just a wild guess based on things I've seen over the years.

Whatever you decide to do in life, recognize the drawbacks as society and your piers often glamorize behaviours without addressing its negative outcomes.

Its not normal, in my opinion, and its a little gross.

Hey, I give you kudos for using protection! It sounds like you're not even enjoying the sex though...like it's just a "we'll what the fuck" time consumer. I agree with sisophous on the father figure concept. Also, sex can feel like it gives a girl power. Ask yourself why you're having it in the first place.
