Ok i am sorry for this stupid theory but this is what i think, Ever since the atom bomb hit Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I actually think that might have had some wierd halariously stupid effect, not their strange atraction to absorbing forgein things but things like well THAT DAMN Kobeyashi! No friggen human can eat hotdogs like that unless if genetically altered or something! Course that doesnt explain everything else that you have stated about the japanese , but there is one possibility.
