Depro-vera

hey, i had my first injection of Depro vera ( which is a contraceptive injection). My doctor told me to keep taking the pill, 4, 7 days after the injection, just in case. Which i did, (whilst maintaining an active sex life with my partner). however, i was meant to have a period 3 weeks ago now, and still haven't come on! i don't know whether this is the injection mucking up my cycle, or something worse :(.

any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

i know that it buggers up ur cycle. i guess im just panicking a bit u know? i did read up on it alot, i got leaflets comin outa my ass! its just that im doing exams atm, and i cant be dealing with this extra stress.

Depo can lead to many bad side effects, and cause long term injury (including not being able to conceive). DO NOT take another shot. My wife was on it once a long time ago, and it f*cked her all up. Her cycle got all messed up and stil isnt normal, and she got sick from it and had to go to the hospital. It could cause u to have a stroke, or heart attack (but the doctors dont tell u that shit wen u get it). Too many people we have spoken to have sed it left them with bad side effects.

Maybe you should talk to your doctor about getting using another contraceptive method.

depo fucks everyone up... You can stop a period...someone had their period for two months solid. You can gain 100 lbs, lose weight. Depo is not a good method of birth control....i have never heard anything positive about it... there is nothing you can do... side effects last for months. Talk to your doc... but it is prob just another stupid side effect of depo.

Depo isnt good.. i have never heard ANYTHING good about it. It can make you really abnormal. Talk to your doctor, but once it's in you.... it in you. So in a few months when it wears off... get an iud at least you can take them out.
