You know what absolutely amazes me when I read these posts? It's the fact that no one wants to take the shortest route to resolve the problem. That route is HONESTY. I know it's a novel concept, but what the hell. So ...

What is wrong with just telling mom that their "love sounds" are preventing you from getting a good night's sleep? If you feel that the response would not be receptive and/or you're unwilling to be forthright, then earplugs may be your best best.
