Is It Normal?

Guys in eyeliner? Is it THAT big a deal?
Alright so I'm a straight, non-emo male who wears eyeliner. Only older men who can't keep up with the times have ever given me Sh*t about it.
But I was at the mall with some of my friends, 2 guys and 4 girls. Only one of my guy friends wears eyeliner, and he is much more fierce about it than I've ever been. We were in the parking lot, Some older guys with skates who look like the type that drank their way to dropping out of high school came up and pushed me and started calling us "scene fags" and told us to go cut ourselves. They were like 25-26 ish, and picking a fight with some high schoolers... So one of them acts like he's gonna hit my friend with his skate so my friend tackles him and they start fighting. My friend is losing but the other guy starts coming in on me, so finally while the girls are yelling and not getting anything accomplished, the third friend grabs a skate and bashes the guy fighting me with it. The older guys run off still calling us fags.

I just want to ask, why? Is the fact that a total stranger wears eyeliner enough to fight and get hit with a skateboard with? Doesnt seem worth it to me. I hope they go cry that they lost to "scene fags"

I don't agree with them beating you with skates, a fist would've been enough. But men wearing eyeliner is seriously ridiculous, i've got a friend who does it like twice a year to piss us all off and we beat him. It makes you a complete fag enabler

Oddly -- and I say this as one of the older women on the site -- I really like the eyeliner look. Brings me back to the days of Clockwork Orange and a bit of the old ultra violence. It's an intriguing look, I think. Especially with dark features and a pale complexion. But that's just me.
