What do you think?
Catholocism
ookay. im 14. been going to a catholic school for 9 years now and i will be going to a catholic high school in the fall. we're taught that God created everything, adam and eve, Jesus dying, all that stuff. we were never taught evolution because it's against our religion. but sometime i think that its just not possible for any of that to have happened. like the dinosaurs and stuff, it just doesn't fit. but i don't know what to believe anymore. i never ever questioned my religion until about seventh grade. it was the only thing i'd even known, but it doesn't make sense to me. i need explainations.

Online research is always good. You need to figure these things out for youself, and come to your own conclusions.
Just because a creation theory isn't what the bible says doesn't mean God didn't create it. Some people think the bible theory is a old Jewish folktale. There are many flaws in the evolution theory as well (public school won't teach you the flaws either). Many religons have theories on how the universe was created. Your faith tells you that God created it. That's all that matters! Not how he created it. When you go to heaven, you can ask him yourself.
thats cool that youve been conformed to this belief for 9 years yet you can think for yourself may i ask who gave you this thought?
Its been forced on you, thats why

you cant truly believe in something you dont have a passion for, chrisitanity was forced on me and now im agnostic...

sooo idk what to tell you
Good for you, if only more people actually questioned their religion instead of blindly absorbing all that garbage.
Well, I have to believe the evolution theory, because dinosaur bones have been found and all, plus has anyone ever met God or any holy angel-thing in person? I don't think so. At least, the evolution theory has proofs to support their opinion. This is why I don't really believe in religion.
I forgot something else, on the religion side: If God didn't create us, and the Earth, then how is it possible that only OUR planet is:
-At the correct distance from the Sun
-All well balanced and everything
-Not too hot, not too cold
-Has air, food, water and everything
-Etc.

I still believe in the evolution theory.
You have an inquisitive mind. Go where it leads you (basically what Fred & Killinton said)...
The vast majority of religious people agree that God is much further advanced than man. At the same time, man wants to how God created the world. So, God gave an explanation that man could understand in Genesis.

Man has continued to be curious. God made us that way. We have worked to have a better understanding of how he did it. And people, like Einstein, have increased our understanding of the how. We can anticipate that we will continue to be curious and to ask the how and to uncover more divine truths about our universe which we will call %u201Cscience%u201D as time goes on.

Science does not deal with the %u201Cwhy%u201D of the universe, only the %u201Chow.%u201D Religion works more with the %u201Cwhy.%u201D So, expect some to believe that there are conflicts between the two because we continue to uncover more information on the %u201Chow.%u201D In reality, there are few conflicts.

Both Genesis and the Big Bank theory of creation start with a belief that absolutely nothing existed, not even time. Then light (i.e. electromagnetic radiation) popped out of this nothingness creating the entire known universe and starting time.
