22 and just started college. Is this normal?
I just turned 22 years old and I had just started college not too long ago, is this normal?
I was home-schooled all my life and did not pay attention to college and pretty much had no idea what it was about until I turned 19. I started college at 19, but I was taking random classes because I did not know what I wanted to do with my life.
The reason I don't count 19 as the time I started is because I was taking random classes. But when I turned 21, it took me 7 months to find work in my hometown which really pissed me off and took a lot of my time.
When I graduate, I'm going to be like f*****g 30 years old or some s**t like that. I know looking at the past won't help but damn.......
Thanks,

What you are doing is not a question of being normal or abnormal, rather about being common or less common. In your case it is less common than the majority of those who attend college and is no big deal.
Lets arbitrarily imagine your retirement from the workforce will be at age 60. Let's also say you graduate at age 26 and find work by age 27. You then work for 33 years before retireing. While others, who did not miss any time, graduate at age 22 and work for 38 years if they retire the at the same time.
You working 33 years versus some working 38 years, now does that really make any difference?
Life is not a race and those who choose to make it so are often the most unhappy and unfulfilled over time.
Have no regrets, just look forward and enjoy yourself as much as possible.
