Our galaxy for instance, is called the Milky Way and contains some 100 billion solar systems. Our galaxy is a large one, the average out there is only several tens of billions of solar systems. And the number of galaxies out there is incomprehensible, like that photo shows. It covers an infinitesimally small part of the night sky, but yet there are all those galaxies just there. And even this is ignoring all material that is not shining extremely brightly.
