Is It Normal?
What do you think?
OCD
After I set my alarm clock for bed, I check it around 14 times to make sure the time is right...I know its right, but I still need to check it over and over again just to be sure...

I know how you feel and it does sound like ocd. Is there anything else you do like that? I have a habit of washing my hands everytime after I eat, no matter what I eat becuase I feel like they are dirty. I am just as confused and no how you feel.

14 times
14 times might be OCD, 3 times probably not as much. I usually check my alarm with 2 other clocks. Once battery powered and one non battery powered.
It is normal though to be concerned about your well being of being on time to work and not wanting to lose your job. Which is most likely your self concious reaching out through OCD. Possibly your parents embedded that idea in you head either by doing the same or the opposite.

I check my alarm clock
like that before I goto
sleep too. It sounds like
OCD. Look at other things
you do too, if you drive,
do you check to see
if your lights are on ALOT?
Even though you know they are.
Etc.

When I walk, I have to step in multiples of four or else I go back and walk that spot again. And everything I do must be with my left foot first.

I have something similar to that, but I NEVER count steps, organize things, wash my hands or any other things like that.. The only thing I do is check to make sure that my xbox360 is turned off like 50 times, with the remote too. I probably would do it with my alarm clock, but I just dont care enough to make it to school on time.
Obsessive compulsive behavior, is it not? If you do that, try to not do that. Duh...
Try to try not to do it.
i have OCD and its ok. im not so worried about it now, but i do check my car lights over and over. and other stuff too... but its cool. quite funny really.
I do that! but not 14 times. I have one of those Ipod alarm clocks, you only have to push one button to set the alarm, but I push the off button and start all over to make sure it did it correctly. Sometimes I wake up like 4 in the morning to check the clock. Sometimes I get scared that I set the clock to PM when its suppose to me AM. I did that once and I woke up at the time I was suppose to be at work, I called my boss and told her my car had a flat tire and my dad was fixing it.
that is kind of sad. I set my alarm clock once and don't check it again untill I need to change it. But I do practice my violin almost 2 hours every night. Is that going overboard?
Gay
there's nothing wrong w/ OCD. I have an even number obsession. anything i eat or do has to be in even numbers, preferably even numbers that, when divided in half, still equal and even number the first time (i.e. 8 divided by 2 = 4). the only weird thing w/ that is that, if i go to the bathroom, i have to use three paper towels, so it screws up the even number thing. and when i walk on a sidewalk or anywhere else that it has the cement blocks, i make sure to take 2 steps for each little block. its a little annoying, but pretty entertaining.
I do that every nite 2 its so gay but I cant help it.
