An interesting socialological aspect of this is that monogamy is a relatively new concept in society and was designed to preserve ownership. Monogany is only a few thousand years old, in the skeme of things this is a blink of an eye in human history. Monogamy was designed to retain ownership of property and women and to keep wealth within a family line. Interesting that women endorse monogamy without researching it's origin but that is what most modern western culture is about, ownership and the imposition of ideas on others. The rich getting richer, i.e. Capitalism and Imperialism, imposing our cultural ideas on others, hench most of the world resenting the US. Don't get me wrong, I bel;ieve the US in the best country on earth but we could leave our noses out of others business a little more in the world.
