My Best Friend's Ex is hitting on me

My best friend's ex keeps on hitting on me, and it's not my imagination either- he has even apologized for it to my face, although he didn't seem sorry more like he was proud of himself.

Anyway, i only see him as a friend, and I'm usually one of those ''lad's girls'' who fits in with a gang of boys (we all get on but none of the guys will pay me the least bit of attention or be attracted to me.) So it's very odd he's suddenly started liking me.

I guess what I'm saying is it's nice to finally have someone interested in me, but honestly I'm not interested back (being my best friends ex, she's told me every one of his flaws and bad moments!) and also i feel sorta like I'm second best, my friend being first to grab all my guys friends attention.

how can i get him to stop hitting on me without embarrasing him and continuing on being good friends,able to go to parties together without him trying to feel me up :P ?

hah well i've outright told him i'm not interested. more then once ... T_T

he's not a jerk... more... a manwhore, is the word i'm looking for.

i get on great with him been friends for a year now, i just don't get where this is all suddenly coming from, literally just these last few weeks. a whole year and he didnt give me a second glance until now. and my friend broke up with him AGEES ago too.
it's not like some revenge getting back at her type thing either... so i dunno...

i think it's pissing off the rest of my friends though so they might have a word at him.
