Many years of counseling will not erase the pain you might have felt but that does not change the fact that your rapists color does not matter. If they were white the crime is the same and would have been just as bad. They probably raped you because you were the easiest target they could find. They were probably in your town because they lived somewhere that, if they raped another woman, they would have been recognised. I feel complete and utter compassion for the plight of your people (the Native Americans) but what we need to understand is that before the Native Americans were here, there was a different culture of people who lived on this land. The Native Americans migrated to this land from another land and took the land from the previous owners.....and before them there was probably another culture also.

I'm not saying that what the white man did to the Natives is a good thing, or justified in any way. But I'm just saying that all over the world land is taken by force (and has been since the beginning of man) and that no culture is completely innocent of that action.

That's exactly what I am talking about. When I lived in America, I lived in Huntington Beach, California. Everytime I went to Santa Ana it would be the latino's living in low income.

In Huntington Beach there were a lot of rich and sucessful African American's. It was amazing. In fact most of them were sucessful plastic surgeons.

Now I live in Italy and there are few people on any type of government support, and way less racism.

People are so shallow and biased it makes me sick.

I am so thankful I live in a community where white people and black people do everything together,we go to church together,and work together,even live together,and it doesn't seem to bother anyone. I'm originally from Virginia,and even in the city (Norfolk,Portsmouth,hampton roads area) when i was around my black friends,usually that's all I had,people stared at us like we were freaks.In Georgia,I couldn't even get around black people to befriend them,it was like a whole other world down there,and it was completely segragated.I think that is such a shame,and I could never let myself venture to Alabama I would probably get killed from using my mouth excessively.
