Ugh, moron. The French only gave up in World War II because they had the whole of the Nazi army at their feet and they were using outdated tactics. If your country is taken over and a puppet government installed, I don't think you'll be able to do that much fighting.
Let's see: you have the entire German war machine encroaching on your territory. Your army is in tatters and they are approaching your precious capital with countless innocents in their path with virtually no resistence. Tell me why it's a good idea to not give up, again? Why should I care about the political rhetoric of some old coot when there are indefensible and innocent lives at stake?
Sorry, but you and I have different opinions here.
The French Gave Up, for whatever reason, and became something just this side of slaves to the Germans. Me, I would DIE before I became a slave to anyone, and I would go down fighting to the best of my ability.
I could even understand them giving in to a superior force - but the French have a long history (Both before and after WW2 of collaberation)
REally this is dumb for a multitude of reasons.
People on here always have exteme pride for their own country. That's understandable. But there is a line that's being crossed by these hypocits that claim their country is better.
I agree with October. There is no excuse for giving up in a war. America hasn't given up in Iraq and that's a war that will never be won.
But I also have to say that the army I respect the most was the Japenese Kamikaze soldiers. They were crazy, they'd fuck up your whole world before you knew what was happening, and then they'd go and bomb their plane into what was left after their carnage.
Stop painting individuals from the same country with one brush.
REBEL REBEL REBEL!!
ANARCHY!

Somebody wave a butter knife in their general direction and they'll surrender with nothing more than a whimper.

Why are the streets of France lined with trees?
So the German army can march in the shade.
I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY
I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY
I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY I'M SORRY
I would have more respect for the French if they didn't constantly take a stance against the United States. As it it - No Quarter.

Better slaves than corpses. Most of Europe does not have that same bullshit militaristic mentality as the States.
