Hi all, not sure if this sort of message is allowed in here, but on the news today (in UK but this applies to a lot of countries), I saw really disturbing footage about the production of fois gras (fatty liver of goose or duck). Please, please, anyone reading this, don't ever order this 'delicacy' in a restaurant.
Ducks and geese are force-fed huge amounts of corn/water through pipes shoved down their throats, eventually causing their livers to swell to 10x thier normal size. It is soooo gross and inhumane, innocent birds suffering horrifically just cos some people like to eat their livers. EAT SOMETHING ELSE FOR GOODNESS SAKE.
Please spread the word and help to ban this disgusting torture of lovely animals.
