What do you think?
Capital One Fever
I work at Capital One and My job is to call up customers who have either overspent on their credit cards, haven't paid their bills or both.....

I call them to help them find an ideal solution to their situation, thus helping them getting them out of debt as quickly as possible and stop them occuring interest on their account and futher charges.

What is beginning to annoy me is that 9/10 customers either tell me to f**k off or are just plain down right rude!

I can't understand how somebody can be so horrible to somebody who is trying to help them!

I know for fact that if I and the customer were face to face, that they would never talk to me in such an unpolite manner, so therefore I put to down to them being...

(1) Too dumb to realise I'm trying to help and looking for fight!

(2) A bloody coward!

(3) A bloody pikey!!

Who else agree's?

What's in YOUR wallet?....Gum?....Condoms? Roommate's credit cards?
Tell me, does David Spade work there? Is there a fat guy always conspiring to tell a customer "yes"?
I have my suspicions about the first one but the other I'd swear on. Death to the fat man.
Anyway; to them you are the equivalent of a telemarketer, basically calling them at home and bothering them about stuff they don't want to hear. They're angry and you just happen to be there to take it out on. Whenever they do that just give a loud false cough resembling "fuck off" as closely as you can deliver. By the way, what the hell is a pikey? Isn't that a fish?
If you really want to avoid a fight just take on a growling, deep Satanic voice from beginning to end of the conversation and whenever they say something to get your goat, *not in a livestock-theft sense,* pretend to turn away from the phone and say as sinisterly as you can; "I must find a more suitable host body." Then come back and resume conversation as if nothing what had happened was simply an innocent cough.
You could also wreak revenge if they give you their e-mail address, by signing them up to any and all gay porn/transvestite sites you can find. Or go to ebaumsworld.com, click on 'audio,' set it to the Homer Simpson soundboard and continually call giving frequent sermons on the importance of beer and donuts in our society.
Adieu.

To Adieu
Thankyou for your advice...
However some of you ideas just cannot be done, all my calls are recorded, therefore basically no matter what the customer is saying to me I cannot be rude back! I also do not have access to their email address.
What can I do? please help me! x
You can't be sensative when you work with people and diff. personalites. If you can't take it, try getting a new job. Have you ever thought about working at a daycare?
You have the right to hang up on them if they're abusive. Just do. Revenge is outdated.

Ha ha ha!

"Adieu" means goodbye! It's not his name! D'oh!

Wake up
Hmm, seems to me when I call customer service (and this is MBNA by the way) they always talk to me like I'm some crackhead piece of shit who's trying to fuck them over somehow, and all I'm calling for is to beg them to quit fucking ME over. I'm late once and they crank my interest up to "shove it up my ass" level and when I try to negotiate they basically tell me I'm FUCKED. Your company wants to rape someone in the ass and then you expect people to be nice to you. Have your ever heard of Sharecropping?
oh my god vortxx.......whoever wrote this asked for your help, not more abuse.
as to the actual problem, i think that seeing as nearly all of the people you ring are rude, maybe you should consider finding another job
i been on both sides of the fence, as the crazy customer and as the put upon clerk, i had one person tell me fuck you honky! you know we all got to make a buck and the cool thing about the internet is we can rant about it in private. just say screw it is a part of your life, but if you hate it to death, maybe get your resume out.
Ring someone at their home in any form of unsolicited way and you deserve all you get, and more. Write them a letter, then if they tear it up, burn it or whatever it wont upset you.
Customer Serivice blues....

I say like this. do your job. be polite... try to help them... a nd if they tell you to F*&K off, then just move to the next person. You can lead a horse to water but you cant make them drink.... making them drink is your job. If you cant dont get all cracked up about it. Just move on to the next. its hard to say this in your proffesion but I will say that you should NOT let this job affect your mood that much. If you find it affecting you too much i suggest you put your reseme out there and look for a new line of work because you cant let your job ruin your happiness.
u could quit
shout racial slurs?
if people wanted to join capital one they wud cum to u so leave em alone!!!
I have never done business with Cap One; never will either. I get calls on my cellphone from them 3-4 times a day, every day including Sat & Sun, for 7-8 months now. I am on the DoNotCall list. I file complaints (a worthless process)several times a week on DNC. I have called Cap One to request they leave me alone. You don't. The few times I have answered (which costs me $ in lost minutes on my plan), the person calling has asked for a variety of different names; none of which are me. I have had the same telephone number for about 7 years now. I have tried to be nice; no longer. I'm the one who blows a shrill whistle into the phone as soon as I hear a human voice. This is pure & simple harassment & those making such calls do not deserve any courtesy from me or anyone else.
