Udi has either completely forgotten about IIN, or doesn't care about it anymore. I'm choosing the latter; if he really did care about this site, then he'd clear up all the idiotic rumors, ban all of the trolls and dumbasses, and just generally make this site a damn better place to be.

yeh well he banned me, i cannot understand why, as all i do is post and comment, maybe a little abusive sometimes, but other than that i have never done anything wrong. would like to know his requirements for a banning, and i know he won't reply to the email i sent him asking about all this.

Yeah, many people have suggested that to him! But he hasn't made the necessary changes. I know for sure that I wouldn't be a moderator...but that'd be cool though, lol. I think it would go to people like cabinet70 and a few other good people on here.

Well, I'm not saying that I want you gone...but I don't blame you for leaving and there have been many that left, including a few really good members. I mean there really is no hopeful future for IIN...i think it will be permanently shitty. I think it could only get a little better if there were moderators. I haven't completely forgotten about this site, but it has unfortunately outgrown my ability to keep it under control. Ideally, I would love to hire a full time moderator to keep an eye on things, but I can't afford to do that because IIN only brings in a very small amount of ad revenue.

I've considered setting up a user moderator system, but it's more complex than it sounds. To do it well would require a pretty complicated system and lots and lots of thought and programming. Even most of the good members around here have bad streaks to them, and telling the good guys from the bad guys has proven to be a pretty tough thing to do.

I'm still open to suggestions and I would love to steer things back in the right direction. But, I've been forced to focus my time and energy towards another venture of mine that will hopefully be able to pay the rent one day.

I really appreciate how committed you all are to this site and I hope that it will always be a place where people can get good advice and be entertained in a fun, safe, productive way.

Maybe there could be a way to vote somebody off of this website if s/he keeps getting out of line? We could all be moderators and with enough votes (e.g. 100 Abusives) somebody can get kicked off or at least temporarily banned for a certain amount of time (e.g. 1 week). A downside to this would be limiting people's ability to say what they want whether others like it or not. I do believe in the freedom of speak.

What's the point? The flag system is a fucking stam - Stargirl for example was flagged OVER 1,000 times by Chris. He basically just flagged every single post for heck fun.

I did like the idea of the profanity counting system but as I mentioned earlier on another post the system would work but people here have already alternative ways of typing them in.

Though it the profanity database of banned words can be updated to include these. So overall an idea that in my opinion is GREAT!
