My new rat
I went to Petco and played with some of the animals. There was one rat who I immediately connected with. He was only 7 bucks, since he was a snake feeder/pet, so I bought him, and named him Fred. Soon after, I noticed he has a tumor under his skin on his neck.
If I keep him he will probably die, maybe painfully. If I return him, he will probably be fed to the snakes or killed. He does not seem to be in any pain now, and is playful, and licks me, and likes to sleep on my chest. He is such a sweetheart, and I feel like it would be unfair to kill him now. I will not be able to pay for vet bills in the near future.
So what do you think? return/keep?

You diagnosed your rat? If in fact it is a tumor it might not kill it. I guess there's no other way but to stick it under your shoe and think happy thoughts.
