Midwest, without seeking medical advice and assistance, I would have died 5 years ago. Because of my condition, I accept the fact that I can no longer have sex. Condoms are 98% not 100% safe. The main reason for this particular post was to bring HIV into the forum. Not to give it to you but to make you aware of it and it's ability to get you when least you expect it.

I work with kids who have HIV/AIDS. If you think you are normal that you have AIDS Dementia. Which means the blood/brain barrier has been breached and the virus is now in your brain too.

HAART may not only prevent or delay the onset of ADC in people with HIV infection, it can also improve mental function in people who already have ADC.

Dementia only exists when neurocognitive impairment in the patient is severe enough to interfere markedly with day-to-day function.
