Sex and education

Why is it that when one confesses to being gay, most assume they "shove it up some ones sh itter" If we all did that, who would be the recipients? My question is, is it normal to think all gays are tops (givers, dominant)?

Most people assume that gay men only have anal sex, because that's what they've heard. If you really want to know here's a few facts:

1. Most gay men (approx. 80%) try anal sex at least once.

2. Some gay men (roughly half of those that have tried it) have anal sex regularly.

3. Of those that do have anal sex regularly, almost all use protection (a condom and lube), and the most common position is facing each other during intercourse (some prefer face to back though).

4. The most common sexual act between gay men is oral sex. Most gay men don't use condoms for oral sex, but a minority do.

Sorry that I can't give you the exact statistics, but my memory for numbers is cr*p.

As for tops and bottoms, I've never read any statistics. I do know that gay men tend to view themselves as active, versatile, and passive, but I don't know how many see themselves as belonging to each category. Maybe you could do some research ;-)

the ratio is somewhere near 70/40 % in favor of being passive. Ie around 70% of gay men take it or are passive/bottoms.

Thats a stupid assumption lol in straight couples sometimes the female is the dominante one (she rides you! lol) no reason to think it might be otherwise in gay couples, and since we live in a society that values equality heck, i bet they take turns or whatnot.

I can assure you it is no assumption. It is my experience. 99% of straight guys auto assume you "shove shit up hill without a wheelbarrow" if you are gay.

Hmmm that's very interesting that you say that because honestly, I'm a straight man and I always thought that the stereo-type was exactly the opposite. I really don't understand the psychology of homosexuality, so I've said just about all I can say on the topic. I guess if I could saone thing, it would be, to hell with what others think. Love is the most valuable thing we have, so whether you like guys or girls, do what makes you happy.
