It is to do with the way we were brought up. We were brainwashed into thinking that swearing shows a lack of respect, education and vocabulary. I am not actually offended by any swear word. Lord knows, I probobly used them all at some time in my life. It is more the fact that it is done in "public" here if you know what I mean. We have the ability to sit and think what we are going to write. Then check it before we send it. So, realistically, there is no need for it. Some just do it to annoy. THAT is offensive.

Because older people were raised in a year of when people were punished with physical abuse. If it annoys you commit suicide. The worlds better off.
while curse words WONT physically harm someone, they do show a lack of respect for people.
we were brought up in a society where we must respect our elders.
for example, you wouldnt like it if some kid called your mom an old hag.
i mean, its not physically harming her, but its still very rude.
i agree. they're just a bunch of words, mostly used to simply get a point across, it wont do u any damage mentally or physically to hear them. so just shut the fuck up and listen to the motherfucking words you fuckwits
It isn't the words so much as the manner in which they are used. In your case Footfan, they are used abusively and there for are used badly and wrongly. That is what makes older people dislike younger ones. Their total lack of respect and poor self esteme. It also tends to make them question your educational standards. Perhaps now you have been told these thing you would consider earning the older generations respect by refraining from their use in this manner? Doubt it though, you seem to be quite feckless.
and ur probably right
They come off as being trashy for one. To educated people, they see those words as a lack of vocabulary when used to often. This further would denote a less intelligent person, to the listener. Not to mention, vulgarity is not cute nor respectful.
