Your situation is quite common. People make friends over time, it does not usually take place suddenly. When you transition from one school to another, the contacts you had are not as strong when entering a new atmosphere. Friends that you found to be close are tempted to look to making new friends that may cause them to distance themselves from you. In addition, if you selected a group of people for friendship, they may be alienated from others, hence it would make sense for people to distance themselves from you by simple association.

I would not worry about this at all. Almost anytime someone changes schools it is a difficult change at the outset. This is why parents seldom choose to relocate while their children are established in a school system and they refrain from moving. They know it can be unsettling to their kids.
