Is It Normal?
What do you think?
Friend or traiter? What would you do?
Two of my friends and I were walking home from a restaurant. Suddenly three guys attacked us one of them I found out later was a Golden Gloves boxer. That day I was crashing because I didn't sleep and certain "medication" I took made it hard to breath even when walking. My friend who was in the best shape out the whole group and held a brick in his hand the whole time. First I knocked out one guy than the second guy attacked me because two of my friends allowed him to come at me from behind good thing I turned around when I did. After I dealt with him the boxer came kicked my skinny friend in the stomach and rushed me. Make the long story short he fucked me up good. Than the undercover came and stopped the fight. Point is I had to scream for my friend who had three opportunities to help me without putting his own ass in danger, but he didn't. The boxer was doing combos on my face my buddy was staying right behind him with a brick in his hands watching... One time I had to call his name for him to do something cause one of the guys got me against the wall and I couldn't get a good swing to KO him. So when he did come up he starts giving the guy a back message with his elbow instead of hitting him with the brick or fists in the back of the head. Three times opponents head was turned away from him (cause they were busy beating me) and he wasn't fighting he was standing their like a deer in head lights watching. I felt like I took the whole group on myself. This was a very close friend I knew since childhood, almost like family. Question is if you were in my situation how would you react?

It sucks but you have to remember not everyone reacts the same way on situations like that, like you said "deer in headlights" he probably just froze out, but yeah you do have a right to be pissed about it.

peace JAH bless
maybe your friend was thinking about if it was kosher to hit a man from behind with a freaking brick?
I'd say as a friend he is ok, as an assistant in a scrap FORGET it. Not everyone likes to fight but it does surprise me he didn't even just grab his arms or anything. Hope he ain't next to any of my friends if they get into a fight cuz he may as well not be there. For goodness sake DONT let him join the armed forces where YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO RELY ON YOUR FRIENDS.
